History of the League
It was a tale of three clubs, way back in 1976 there was only 3 senior clubs in the North West Wales area playing Netball. Craig-Y-Don, Llandudno Ladies
and Old Colwyn.
A Youth Club Co-ordinator passed around
a questionnaire to help find out what the
young women in the area wanted in
the way of available sports. Netball
had an overwhelming response!
That year a league was formed with three senior
clubs and 3 youth clubs, within two seasons it had
grown to a really impressive 23 teams and in 1978 the came birth of the official North West Netball League.
